Evaluation
Evaluation will occur in several ways throughout this assignment:
At the beginning of the lesson, students will work on a KWL chart about the Sun. The chart will be finished as an exit ticket.
During the Web Quest, there will be several class checkpoints to be sure that all students doing well on the tutorials and are having success interpreting the STEREO images.

Completion of the Web Quest modules will be shown by submitting proof of completion.
Student depth of understanding of the material will be demonstrated through their observation and data notes on their handout. In addition, students will visit the project blog and write a short report on the benefits of the Solar StormWatch project, including detailing how they, personally, contributed.
Extension: Students may monitor sun activity and track space weather forecasts over a period of two-three weeks. This could be done as a class (3-4 minutes several times a week) with a different student bringing forecast information to class each session, or as an individual homework assignment.
